Mexican Coffee Kit / Café de Olla

This hot beverage is called Café de Olla, and it is made with coffee, piloncillo (cone shaped brown sugar), cinnamon and spices. You and your family will enjoy both making and sipping this flavorful Café de Olla. During the Mexican Revolution, the Adelitas (female soldiers) actively participated by tending wounded soldiers, cooking meals and when necessary would go into battle. During very cold nights, the Adelitas made a special hot drink for the soldiers using these simple ingredients they had on hand.
