You and your family will enjoy both making and eating this Chile Guajillo and Chile de Árbol Salsa.

Recipe

What you need to make an easy, authentic, and delicious Chile Guajillo Salsa…

1 TOCANI Chile Guajillo Salsa Kit

10 medium tomatillos

4 cups of water

4 garlic cloves cut in half

¼ onion

3 Tablespoons of avocado or olive oil

1 teaspoon of sea salt

DIRECTIONS

  1. Boil the 4 cups of water and set aside
  2. As the water boils, dry roast the tomatillos on a heavy skillet or comal (provides best authentic flavor). Or you can boil the tomatillos for approx. 10 minutes and then reserve the hot water.
  3. While the tomatillos are cooking/roasting, remove stems from all chiles.  Remove the seeds only from the large chiles and cut them in half.
  4. Heat the 3 tablespoons of oil and lightly fry the garlic and onion, then the chiles (do not burn), set aside when done.
  5. Soak the fried chiles in the hot water you set aside for approx. 10 minutes.
  6. Blend all the chiles and ingredients in a blender until the desired texture.  Add salt to taste.   Enjoy!
